It’s meant to represent the moment before the battle between Ancalagon the Black and Eärendil the mariner as menttioned in Tolkien’s Silmarillion
The last stand of the High King
Another Silmarillion scene, but a more recent one from 2022
I always wanted to portray the duel between Fingolfin and Morgoth, and again
make it as book accurate as possible.
